The recent bankruptcy announcements for Northwest and Delta Airlines has sent a shudder through the aviation industry as expected job cuts loom and possible further bankruptcy filings are considered. These are not good days for many carriers as high legacy costs, pricey jet fuel, and inefficient management practices have worked together to bring down some of the bigger names out there. Fortunately, all is not bleak in the industry and, in fact, many jobs are being created for the opportunistic person. Knowing where to look can present a challenge, but finding the right job can be a rewarding experience. Let’s take a look at some options that may be right for you.

Airline Travel Lingo! Does The Language Need An Interpreter?

With airline travel increasing in record numbers, more people are experiencing the frustration of understanding the airlines industry language, and leaving them feeling that they need an interpreter for the travel information they're receiving from the airline industry!

It seems that air companies think that every individual that flies should have to understand all that travel Jargon they place on their flight reservations, and maybe it’s about time we figure out what they’re talking about, because it’s costing you money and valuable time!

Once you learn all the airlines travel terms, you won’t be dependent on your local travel agent anymore, and he/she won’t be able to collect all the wonderful service fees from you for being your traveling interpreter.

Airlines, cell phones, and automobiles have made possible the most mobile society in the history of the world. Airlines have made possible the movement of man from one side of the continent to the other in just a few short hours. How did this great marvel of machine come into existence? It all began with a thought. The thought developed into an idea. And because two men believed in the possibility, the idea took shape and form. An airplane was born.

Getting Cheap Airfares

Airlines offer tickets at a fraction of the cost you buy tickets. These offers are given to wholesalers and agencies that bring good business to them. If you can trace out these wholesalers and agencies, you may get cheap airfares from them. These are seasonal and vary from time to time. You cannot expect the same price all the time. It could be cheaper or slightly higher than what you bought the previous time. Moreover, prices vary with the destination for which you are buying the tickets.
